It is important to track your competitors as well as your own media coverage to see who is influencingthe market space, and what messages and market positions are being established.Traditionally, many organizations have used the metric of “Ad Value Equivalency” to measure the effectiveness of their PRprogram. While this method can provide a rough indicator of success it has many limitations. Demand Metric advises clientsto abandon this method and opt for more modern tracking mechanisms that include the tone and overall impact of theplacement.
