Goals: • Collaboration and Potential • Bring together state-wide and community leaders committed to service and inclusion • Develop new knowledge and skills necessary to become an agent for change • Create a shared vision and collaborative plan for inclusion
Goals: (continued) • Community Teams and Specific Change: • Foster state-based and community-based teams composed of both disability and CNCS representatives • Develop specific plans of action to change policy and practice to measurably increase participation with demonstrable results
Goals: (continued) • Broadened Influence and Support: • Key participants will become both part of a national working group focused on disability inclusion • National working group will continue to communicate on a regular basis to problem-solve, strategize, share promising practices nationally • Develop innovative approaches to make information available to broader service network through a variety of in-person and electronic technologies • A number of participants will be selected to be part of a national training pool to share best practices and facilitate learning activities for future institutes.
