Figure I: Management of abnormal Pap diagnosis / ICELAND 2004- without HPV testing High-grade /moderate / repeat low-grade Pap Colposcopy Biopsy / ECC Normal / CIN1 / atypi Result: CIN 2/3 or worse Repeat Pap in 6 months x 2 + one in 12 months + one in 24 months If repeat high-grade Pap Nulliparous women with low-grade histology: Third colposcopy can be considered Definitive therapy If repeat moderate x 1 or low-grade Pap x 2 : Second colposcopy CIN 2/3, AIS, cancer Normal / CIN1 / atypi If repeat moderate / high-grade x 1 or low-grade Pap x 2 : If all Normal: Back to two year screening Repeat Pap in 6 months x 2 + one in 12 months + one in 24 months
