PXL Detector Ultimate sensor irradiation results • Email from Marc Winter 02/14/2012 • We finally managed to complement the beam tests of ULTIMATEwith the two sensors irradiated with 3*10^12 Neq/cm^2. One ofthem has a lso been exposed to 150 kRad 10 keV X-Rays. The chips were mounted on a beam telescope of ours, composedof 4 ULTIMATE sensors, and exposed to an electron beam at DESY(energy around 5 GeV). Data were collected with both sensorsmounted as DUT, at temperatures of 20~C ("normal conditions",abbreviated with NC on the plot) and 30~C. The measured detection efficiency and fake hit rate areshown on the attached figures for both chips, as function ofthe discriminator threshold setting (in mV). Also shown arethe values measured in Autumn 2011 at the CERN-SPS with twoother sensors, one non-irradiated and one irradiated with150 kRad 10 keV X-Rays.
