  4. Membership Requirements • $5 dues per semester • Attend 1 Event (fundraiser/build day) • Attend 1 General Meeting • Dues can be paid tonight to Nicole, Treasurer

  6. Collegiate Challenge • Alternative break program for students • Spend 1 week at a host site working in partnership with a local Habitat affiliate • More than 14,000 volunteers took part in Collegiate Challenge in 2010 • Two trips in 2010 • Ocala, FL • Charleston, SC • Three trips in 2011

  11. Bluffton S.C • Ten house project! • Beaches near by • Close to Savannah, GA • Need faculty advisor  • 19 hour drive

  12. Foley, AL Foley, AL Chapter: Consists of diverse committees and have an open build schedule until June 17 hour drive Very Close to white sandy beaches!!! •15 minutes from the Gulf •Temperature 60-70 degrees F •Destination for world travelers

  13. Beaumont, TX Chapter: Over 30 years old, and have a busy schedule until March 15 hour drive •30 miles to the Gulf •Temperature mid-70s degrees F •Alligators and Tex-Mex

  14. Belgrade, MT • Building 3-4 houses this year • Take groups into Yellowstone National Park! • Passes to Swim in Hot Springs • Prior groups enjoyed winter sports • 16 hour drive • Snow 

  15. Beaufort, S.C. • Between Charleston S.C. and Savannah G.A. • Described as beautiful! • 7 houses being built this year! • $175  • 19 hour drive

  18. Trick or Treat for Change • When: Thursday, October 28, 5:30-7:30pm • What: Walk around neighborhoods asking for HFH donations. • Where: Meet at the Howe parking lot. • Why: Because you love HFH. • Be sure to wear you costume!

  19. Concession Stands At football games Next game will be on Oct 30. Get paid $8/hr and donate your payroll to Habitat Fill out application Need 15 volunteers to represent ISU H4H

  20. Christmas Market November 20 and 21, 2010 St. Cecilia Church Sell Bakery items Need volunteers to go to event Need volunteers to make baked goods

  21. Food Safety Training Necessary for Pizza Sales Online Training Classes Will be posted by late October Sign up and receive more information http://www.riskmanagement.iastate.edu/students/food/

  22. Pizza Sales Starting beginning of November Selling Pizza once a week from 12:00 to 1:00 pm Will be sending out an email for volunteers soon Volunteers need to take food safety class online

  25. Eldora Trip • October 16th (This Saturday) • Trip is currently full – van transportation • Leave Ames around 7:30 am • Home around 4 pm • Siding for a house • Lunch Bar-b-que will be provided

  26. Des Moines Trip • October 16th (This Saturday) • 15 People – van transportation • Leave around 7:15 am • Arrive home around 4:50 pm • Lunch –NOT provided • Type of work?

  27. Ames Houses • October 23rd • 2 Houses (1 new construction, 1 Restoration) • Carpool to site • Start at 8 am • Done at 3 pm, or when work is completed for day
