U.S. PSYOP Product Approval Authority • OP3 • Approval Authority Normally Rests with the Appropriate Country Team Official Designated by the Ambassador or Chief of Mission • FDOs, MOOTWs, Combat Operations • The SecDef Normally Delegates Approval Authority to the Supported Combatant Command and Allows the Combatant Command to Subdelegate That Authority to the JFC • Combined or Multinational Operations- If US PSYOP Forces Are OPCON to a Multinational Command Commanded by a Non-US Commander for the Purposes of Developing Multinational Products Only: • PSYOP Approval Authority Could Remain With the Combatant Command • Be Subdelegated to the Senior US Military Officer or Diplomatic Official • Or, with SecDef Approval, Be Subdelegated to the Non-US Commander
