Coast Guard Diversity Strategy • Diversity Strategy Group (DSG) • Chartered in 2007 to evaluate the current state of diversity and to revise the organization’s strategic plan • 10 members and additional adjunct representatives • 2 meetings held to date • Determined 5 key components with numerous sub-components • Diversity Advisory Council (DAC) • Further developed and revised definitions of the 5 key components • Assisted in identifying issues, brought forward from the field, associated with these components • Extensively developed sub-components
Coast Guard Strategy Way Ahead • DSG review DAC input to key components and sub-components. • DSG review specific DAC issues/ recommendations to be addressed by the DSG. • Further develop measurements for the sub-components. • Include DAC members as adjunct representatives to the DSG.
