Andrew Jackson’s Legacy • My election showed a shift from elitists to the common man. • I eliminated property ownership as a requirement for voting! This expanded voting rights.
Institution - A society or organization founded for a religious, educational, social, or similar purpose (ex. College, bank, church)
Charter – A written grant by a country’s government that allows creation of an institution (ex. A National Bank)
