Modifications after hearings The Department is not recommending adoption of questions 5 through 10 which would have: 5. Repealed a prohibition on the possession of shotgun slugs at certain times while hunting, 6. Repealed restrictions on the possession and use of certain sizes of shot for hunting species other than migratory birds, 7. Eliminated minimum hand gun barrel length requirements. 8. Allowed the use of .410 slugs for deer hunting, 9. Repealed a requirement to use air guns of at least .17 caliber for hunting small game and, 10.
