The Future Tense • You have learned one way to talk about future events. • It is by using ir + a + infinitive • Este domingovoy a reciclar todoslasbotellas.
The Future Tense • Another way is to use the future tense. • When using this you are saying “will + verb” in English. • For most verbs, the stem for the future tense is the infinitive and there is only one set of endings, so learning this tense is easy.
The Future Tense • Since you are using the infinitive as the stem, you don’t have to differentiate among the 3 infinitive endings. • There are irregular future tense verbs but we will learn them at a different time.
The Future Tense • Following are the endings that you will use and the conjugations of hablar, aprender, and vivir in the future tense. • Note that all three kinds of verbs have the same endings. • All forms have a written accent except the nosotros form.
