Grading *** Minimum 20% participation grade for all options ** Minimum 10% Quiz/Test grade for all options
Labs 1 Conclusion per member 1 PHEO per group 2 class days to make up missed work Include member contribution comments in conclusion Groups All must participate for group grade Work areas are crowded Stay with your group until break time Agree to disagree Groups will change throughout semester Labs and Group Work
Note taking • I do not require note taking • You can use notes on quizzes, tests, homework, labs, etc. Quiz & Test Days • Stay quiet until all tests are completed • Your classmates kept quiet while you tested • Re-takes and alternative testing can be arranged if you talk with me
Homework • Not all will be collected • Completeness grade • Correctness grade • Always used for discussion -> Participation Projects • Self directed or choose one of my options - Web sites - Posters - Research papers - Journaling - Pod casting
Behavior • You are adults, I will respect you as such unless you give me reason otherwise • Seating charts will be followed until I know your names • If you can not respect my time I will revert back to seating charts • Talking out of turn • Misbehavior • Disciplinary action: • Warning • Hall conference • Individual conference during your time • Parent call &/or conference with administrator
Cell phones & I-PodsHats & Hoods if necessary • Warning • Collect until end of class • Collect until end of school day • Collect and send item to office
