Tasks • Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order among students. • Instruct through lectures, discussions, and demonstrations in one or more subjects, such as English, mathematics, or social studies • Plan and conduct activities for a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and work time that provides students with opportunities to observe, question, and investigate.

  10. Why I would be suited for this job • I can be very strict but also connect with my students • I am able to reach out to kids that are needing help • I am not afraid to speak in front of older students • I am a good leader

Challenges/Rewards of this job • Challenges: High school students think they own the world, the content of some higher level classes would be difficult to master(AP), achieving a degree that would allow myself to make a nice living is also challenging • Rewards: seeing a student exceed and have the aha moment, possibly getting a job as a high school coach, and doing what I love to do which is helping people grow

Interview- Coach Eager • 1) How much more difficult is it to teach a highschooler rather than a younger student? • Answer: I teach 9th graders so it is not as bad, but they can be very immuture at times. • 2)Is it difficult to learn the content for your higher level classes? • Answer: I had to take a two week class to learn about AP human geography but after that I just read the textbook and picked it up rather easily.
