  8. Discussion - Overhead • We’d like to move expense / staff to overhead • Free money for potential hiring in 09/10 Or • Free money for the next cut

  9. Impact - TA’s • Eliminate Several Elective Labs • 4514L, 5666, 4657L, 4713C, 4750C, 4201L • Probably negligible impact on SCH • Some impact as some students may graduate with fewer credits than before

  10. Impact - Staff • Computing • Networking support -> Wall Plate Service / VOIP • PC Lab Support -> Provide laptop work space • Inventory • Return to supervised student scanning • Personnel • Preparation of immigration paperwork for visitors • Charge to faculty to preserve job?

Impact - Faculty • Srivastava, Neugroschel 9 course sections / year • Handled large teaching loads • Average faculty load will increase • Fossum, O - Combined $821k expenditures • Quality, Reputation, Overhead, Buyout • 25 Supported Ph.D. Students will ramp down • Gao - replaced by Slatton for budget • Jordan - probable buyout for lightning • More teaching load impact! (4 sections / yr)
