  2. Cheetahs Population • Cheetahs population has decreased 90% over the last 100 years because of hunting • There is an estimated 9000 to 12000 cheetahs left in the world.

  3. Cheetah’s Food • Cheetahs normally only hunt animals 40kg or less • Cheetahs favourite food are gazelles ,zebras , and wildebeests

  4. Cheetah Cubs • A cheetah can have from 2 to 8 cubs per year. • Each cub when born will be 11.8 inches long. • Cubs fur is grey at birth , but after three days changes to normal cheetah colour’s.

  5. Lion Population • The world’s lion population has declined 68% in the last fifty years from 100,000 to 35,000 today. • The population has fallen because of people hunting them for fun.

  6. Lion’s Food • Lions favourite food would be giraffes,wildebeast,zebras and wild hogs. • Lions will eat most animals they see that are a reasonable size. • Lions are known as the kings of the jungle.

  7. Lion Cub’s • A lioness can have from 2-5 cubs per year. • Cubs are born with dark spots that fade away as they get older.

  8. Differences between lions and cheetahs • Cheetahs only hunt animals 40kg or less while lions hunt animals as big as giraffes. • There are over 20,000 more lions in the world today than cheetahs • Cheetah’s can have from 2-8 cubs while lions can have from 2-5 cubs.
