El Sobrante Library - Project Goals* • MODERNIZE TO CURRENT LIBRARY SERVICE STANDARDS • INCREASE NATURAL LIGHT • INCREASE COMFORTABLE SEATING • IMPROVE STUDY SPACES • INCREASE COMPUTERS AND WIFI • IMPROVE SERVICE PATHWAYS FOR BETTER FLOW Note: Examples only, this is not an exhaustive list of improvements *Presented to the El Sobrante Municipal Advisory Council, January 9, 2019
El Sobrante Library Meeting Room – pre-fire • Room capacity 45 people • Available after hours if separate entrance • No later than 10pm weekdays • No later than midnight weekends • May reserve once per month • Get key from staff at desk
El Sobrante Library Meeting Room – post-fire • Same dimensions of previous meeting room • Room capacity 49 people • Tables • Glassed in for security • Access during library hours or when reserved by a county employee

Library Meeting Rooms – After Hours Use • Antioch Library, El Sobrante Library (pre-fire), Ygnacio Valley Library • After hours use available if separate entrance • After hours use available if restrooms available • No alarm system involved • No staff required for building lockup • City-owned buildings determine their own reservation policies
