Graduation Plans • Minimum – (only for Special Situation) • Recommended (majority) • Distinguished
English Credits • Recommended Distinguished • 4 Credits of English • English I Pre-AP English I • English II Pre-AP English II • English III AP English III • English IV DC English IV • Pre-AP & AP courses are suggested for the distinguished plan • Regular, Pre-AP or AP courses will satisfy either graduation plan
Mathematics • Recommended Distinguished • 4 credits of Math • Algebra I Algebra I Pre-AP • Geometry Geometry Pre-AP • Math Models or Algebra II Algebra II Pre-AP • Algebra II or Pre-Calculus Pre-Calculus Pre-AP • Math Models must be taken prior to algebra II • If algebra is taken at the JH level, then Calculus or DC Algebra may be taken for the fourthyear of math • Pre-AP, AP & DC courses are suggested for the distinguished plan • Regular or Pre-AP courses will satisfy either graduation plan
Science Recommended Distinguished • 4 Credits of science • Biology Pre-AP Biology • Chemistry Pre-AP Chemistry • Physics Physics • Anatomy & Physiology Anatomy & Physiology or Environ. Systems or Environ. Systems • Pre-AP courses are suggested for the distinguished plan • Regular or Pre-AP courses will satisfy either graduation plan
Social Studies & Economics • Recommended Distinguished • 4 Credits Social Studies • World Geography World Geography • World History Pre-AP World History • US History or DC US History US History or DC • Government/Economics Government/Economics • Pre-AP & DC courses are suggested for the distinguished plan • Regular, Pre-AP or DC courses will satisfy either graduation plan
Physical Education • Recommended Distinguished • 1 ½ Credits in both Plans • PE • Athletics • Drill Team (Class) • Marching Band (Fall Sem.)
Health & Speech Recommended Distinguished • In Both Plans: • ½ Credit in Health • ½ Credit in Speech
Technology Application Recommended Distinguished • 1 Credit for each Plan • BCIS (Business Computer Information Systems)
Language Other Than English Recommended Distinguished 2 credits 3 credits • Must consist of Level I, II, & III in the Same Language

Advanced Measures • Distinguished Plan-in addition to 26 credits, a combination of 4 of the following advanced measures must be achieved • A score of 3 or more on the College Board AP examination • A score of 4 or more on an International Baccalaureate exam • A grade of 3.0 or higher on college credit courses • Original research/project • A score on the PSAT that qualifies the student as a Commended Scholar or higher by the National Merit Scholarship Corp.
Resume • Starting your 9th Grade year…. • Begin writing down every thing that you’re involved in. (sports, academics, clubs, volunteer work, extra activities and awards that you have received) • This will help when you begin to fill out applications for jobs, technical schools & colleges
