The article questions whether we are learning for exams and teaching for exams which is not the ultimate goal. Learning should be done out of one's interest like stated by the purpose of education. • We are so harped on education that we neglect all rounded talent, like the arts, music, technology. It is also similar to the MOE purpose to help students to discover their own talents. • Stress is caused by the grades obsession, high stakes examinations and streaming. However stress should not be related to education at all, since education is to nurture talents and impart knowledge into the new generations. Therefore the article proposes the abolishment of streaming, consequently cutting down on the stress students and parents both experience due to high-stakes examinations.
