  1. TEENAGERS COMMITTING TO DRUG USE AND ABUSE What is the reason behind why young adults commit to drug use and abuse? Understanding is the initial step in making a difference. BOREDOM It enables teenagers to go on explore new things which can be unfortunately drugs and alcohol. A solution to this would be having him/her pre-occupied with other things.  GAINING NEW FRIENDS Especially in school, teenagers suffer from trying to find a place to fit in, so in any way possible they will do anything to feel that they belong,  DEPRESSION Most youngsters feel independent enough to handle their own problems so they don't open up easily, especially when depressed, feeling like no one would understand; Taking drugs and alcohol ease the pain. CURIOSITY Curiosity kills them, they want to feel alive and experience things first-hand. This is how most teenagers are today. They are risk takers and want to know everything REDUCING WEIGHT Because of how society treats and defines teens specifically girls, most girls find themselves wanting to be accepted and to fit in in the society. LOW SELF-ESTEEM In order to be accepted and to impress the society, teenagers believe that other people's opinion matters. They will do almost everything to meet their expectation.  MISSING THE OPPORTUNITY It is common to have the perspective that while you are young, you have to try everything and never miss the opportunity. Young adults might get mistaken that drug use is one of them. PEER PRESSURE Nobody wants to be left out. Everybody wants to belong. However, some teenagers find themselves under the company of bad influence.  BE MINDFUL OF YOUR CHILDREN AND BE SENSITIVE TO THEIR FEELINGS AND NEEDS. THERE ARE EFFECTIVE HOME DRUG TESTS TO HELP YOU IDENTIFY IF YOUR CHILDREN ARE INVOLVED IN DRUG USE AND ABUSE.
