Higgs decay to b, c and gluons @ 1.4 TeV(status report) Tomáš Laštovička IoP Prague LCD-WG Analysis Meeting, April 18th, 2013
Summary of updates • All samples re-run with isolated lepton finder included. • Higgs branching ratios corrected to 1201.3084 reference. • Neural Net inputs added. • # isolated leptons and missing ET • Full spectrum uncertainty estimates added to cut-and-count results. • Preparation for simultaneous cc and gg channel evaluation. • Pool of 50 randomized neural nets (as in HHH analysis). • small effect, typically on the level of1-4% of uncertainty values • First look at the simultaneous cc and gg channel evaluation.
Data samples • 126 GeV Higgs, 1.4 TeV, full sim/rec CLIC_SiD, γγ overlay, 1500 fb–1 Available statistics improved, except 1097 (frequent job crashes)
Results Update (BR: 56.1 %) (BR: 2.83 %) (BR: 8.38 %) 1) Template fitting simulated measurements 2) Combining uncertainties per bin (a la Astrid & Mark) Both methods rely on binning and the dependence is not understood yet.
Simultaneous h → cc and h → gg • It seems that in 2D picture the h→cc signal is well separated from h→gg ! • Indeed, when performing a simultaneous 2D fits to 10k generated experiments: • h → cc: 2.7 % • h → gg: 1.6 % gluons cc SM bkgr. + bb NNgg NNgg NNgg NNcc NNcc NNcc
Next steps (almost there) • Data samples • Add qqll (2301) background once produced. • Address e-γ and γ-γ backgrounds. • Repeat the 3 TeV Higgs decay analysis with 126 GeV Higgs.
