Athletics Newport Sports Website http://www.bsd405.org/nhs/athletics.aspx • Sports Registration Online – Launch June 25 • Physical Exam (Good for 24 months) June • Fines and Fees (Seasonal) – “Participation” • Cut sports will pay after making teams. • Academics – 2 standards – WIAA (Pass 6 credit bearing classes) & BSD (cum. GPA above 2.0). Open period/some TA’s. • Daily Attendance

  10. 2014-15 Key Freshman Dates Sports Physical Turn-In Dates – Pay Fines/Fees Friday August 15, 2014 – 7:00am - 3:00pm Monday August 18, 2014 – 7:00am – 3:00pm Tuesday August 19, 2014 – 7:00am – 3:00pm Friday August 22, 2014 – 6:30am – 7:00pm Monday August 25, 2014 – 7:00am – 5:30pm Freshman Back to School Day Thursday August 21, 2014 – 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM Freshman Link Crew Orientation and Dance Tuesday August 26, 2014: Orientation – 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM Dance – 8:00 PM – 10:00 PM Meet their Link Crew leaders and become familiar with the school. Feel comfortable for the 1st day.

  11. Link Crew Philosophy • Link Crew Juniors and seniors are chosen to be positive role models for the freshman! They are knowledgeable about the school and the classes. Each freshman will have two link crew leaders which will be there to help them transition to high school! • Link Crew leaders work to connect with freshman throughout the first semester.

  14. Other Ways to be Involved • Get involved in Homecoming Hall Decorations (End of October) • Can take Leadership Class as an elective • Read Leadership on the Line • Organize school activities • Join a club this fall
