Our Classroom Homework Policy Spelling: We will begin spelling next week. The list will be sent on Friday and pasted in the planner. Homework will be due the following Friday. Parent signatures are requested on list in planner please. Reading: 20-30 minutes to achieve a chapter book and nonfiction each month Math: Nightly review of topics covered. Please practice multiplication facts and measure facts
Grading Policies We have switched to a new on line grading system called PowerSchool. We will be live soon soon. We use the seven point scale for grading: 93-100 = A 85-92 = B 77-84 = C 70-76 = D Below that is an F Math Homework: If the student has the homework completed a 100 is given. If it is not turned in it is a zero. We correct in class.
Parents are a valuable resource for each student! • Supervision of homework is important. • Be sure your child is reading nightly. • Review the Tuesday packet and discuss work samples with your child. • Contact me for anything-no matter how large or small and I will help you. • Always ask “What did you learn today?” Oh the places they’ll go…with help from parents like you!
