Prerequisites • Must be a Management, Marketing or Entrepreneurship major • Have at least a 2.5 overall grade point average • Senior Standing (90+ hours)
Expectations • Intern must work a minimum of 225 hours for three hours of college credit (averaging 15 - 25 hours per week) • Intern must maintain a daily journal of activities • Complete and present a project detailing the experience • Attend orientation meeting
Evaluation • Journal and paper/presentation will be graded • Evaluation from supervisor
Industries • Financial Services – Banks, Investment Firms • Retailing • Manufacturing • Telecommunications • Broadcasting • Music Industry • Healthcare • Real Estate • Publishing • Sports Marketing • Non Profit
Positions • Management Training • Human Resources – payroll, training • Operations Management • Distribution/Logistics • Sales • Customer Service • Event Planning
Cooperative Education • Must have junior standing • Full-time • Does not satisfy major or minor requirements

SIFE and PSE • SIFE is Students in Free Enterprise • SIFE teams serve their communities by developing projects that take what they are learning in their classrooms about business and use it to solve real world problems for real people. • Over 1600 SIFE Chapters in 42 countries • Supported by business organizations
SIFE • SIFE concentrates on educating others in six areas: 1) Market economics (you know, supply and demand!) 2) Personal success skills (like how to get and keep a job, computer skills, etc.) 3) Entrepreneurship skills (running your own business) 4) Financial literacy (education on debt management, credit scores, savings plans, etc.) 5) Environmental sustainability (making better decisions regarding our environment) 6) Business ethics (Doing things right….and doing the right things!)
SIFE • OPEN TO ALL MAJORS AND CLASS STANDINGS • Develop leadership and teamwork skills • Opportunities to compete at regional, national and international levels • Meetings are Tuesdays at 4:15 in BAS S260
PSE • PSE is Pi Sigma Epsilon • Pi Sigma Epsilon is the only national, co-ed, professional fraternal organization in sales, marketing, and management • Create projects dealing with leadership, marketing, sales and community support/involvement
