ATMOSPHERIC IONS What is an Ion? An atom or molecule Total number of electrons ≠ total number of protons giving it a net positive or negative electrical charge.
SO? What has it got to do with us ???
Ions can do strange things to you Researchers believe that our moods, energy and health can be markedly improved through control of the electrical charges in the air we breathe. by Robert O'BrianThe Rotarian
Readings of 1st experiment After a while, the young man was observed to be alert, magical, refreshed, as though he had been taking gulps of sparkling fresh air.
Readings of 2nd experiment The young man’s head felt stuffy, his eyes smarted, his head began to ache, he felt vaguely depressed and tired.
discussions • 1st metal box generated negative ions • 2nd metal box generated positive ions • Readings from both 1st and 2nd experiments hypothesized that: Atmospheric ions can have effect on human beings.
