  2. Synonyms! A synonym is a word that means the same as another word. For example. happy and joyful are synonyms. Our vocabulary words for this chapter will be paired up with a synonym!

  4. fad “Last week the fad had been individual bags of corn chips.” “Ramona liked deviled eggs, but deviled eggs were not the fad, at least not this week.

  7. objected “Ramona had been left out of the fad because her mother objected to spending money on junk food.”
