This study evaluates NOx emission inventories in North America using data from the SCIAMACHY satellite instrument. It compares top-down and bottom-up inventories and conducts GEOS-CHEM simulations to assess the accuracy of each inventory. The study also analyzes the major discrepancies in NOx emissions from megacities and explores the export of NOx from North America.
