  3. Goal: to persuade your audience to interpret a story in the same way you do. • How to reach your goal: Give strong quotes and examples from the book along with clear interpretation to guide your audience to interpret the story in the same way you do. Literary Analysis Essay

  4. Assume your audience has read the story– no need for lots of background info. • Have a clearly stated thesis that you refer to consistently throughout the paper. • Have clearly stated and proven claims in each body paragraph. These claims should support your thesis. Tips
