  2. Habitat • Usually found near mountain sides or beside rivers • Almost everywhere in Africa • Mostly nocturnal • Ground and in trees • Often hide their food in trees

  3. Eating Habit • Don’t need water because the liquid in their preys body is enough • When hunting must watch for predators • Hunt little animals like birds and big animals like kudu and springbok

  4. Appearance • Male 60-80 pounds • Female leopard 50-70 pounds • Live up to 20 years old

  5. Behavior and Other Interesting Facts • Baby leopards are normally born in groups of 2 and 4 • Cubs open their eyes after ten days • Yellow/Orange with black spots or white with black spots
