When Jesus Goes Missing Mark 1:35-45
“And rising very early in the morning while it was still dark, He departed and went out to a desolate place and there He prayed. And Simon and those who were with him searched for Him, and they found Him and said to Him, ‘Everyone is looking for you’” Mark 1:35-37 ESV.
“And He said to them, ‘Let us go on to the next towns, that I may preach there also for that is why I came out.’ And He went throughout all Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and casting out demons.” Mark 1:37-39 ESV.
“The Son of Man came to seek and save the lost.” Luke 19:10 ESV.
“So Jesus said to them, ‘Truly truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you.’”John 6:53 ESV.
“The Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed on the third day be raise.” Luke 9:22 ESV.
But: -IT’s different than you expect -it won’t necessary look “wonderful” to the world around you -it’s bigger and far more reaching than just you and your life
“And a leper came to Him, imploring Him, and kneeling said to Him, ‘If You will, You can make me clean.’ Moved with pity, He stretched out His hand and touched him and said to him, ‘I will; be clean’” Mark 1:40-42 ESV.
“And Jesus sternly charged him and sent him away at once, and said to him, ‘See that you say nothing to anyone but go, show yourself to the priest and offer for your cleansing what moses commanded for a proof to them.’ But he went out and began to talk freely about it, and to spread the news, so that Jesus could no longer openly enter a town but was out in desolate places and people were coming to him from every quarter” Mark 1:42-45 ESV.
How might Jesus be expanding your view of Him? -Where is your life no longer working? -What are you experiencing that is evoking wonder, and awe in your life? Who are the outcasts/untouchables in your life? -Those you have been taught to avoid -Those you by nature avoid Who does Jesus want to touch through you?
