  3. Appointment Hours • A GSI with a 20-hour appointment should spend roughly 20 hours per week on their GSI duties • Many EE GSIs reported working more than their appointment hours

  4. Appointment Hours “For past GSI appointments, how much time did you spend on your GSI duties relative to your appointment hours?” 2 out of 3 of GSIs report working more than their hours! Somewhat Less About the Same Somewhat More Much More

  5. EE301/375 Classes • Most GSIs have no formal training as teachers • Good teaching is hard! • Good teaching can be taught... ...but EE3** classes are not doing that right now.
