  8. Level 2 • Completion of Level 1 Training • Attaining Technician Rating in Specialty • Attend Squadron Leadership School (SLS) (provided at one of Squadron / Group / Wing) • Completion of CAPSOC SM Timothy J. Bruce

  9. CAPSOC Provides study in areas essential to becoming an effective leader in CAP. Training includes: • Communications • Leadership • Management SM Timothy J. Bruce

  10. Level 3 • Complete Level 2 Training • One year of experience in a command / staff position • Attend Corporate Learning Course (CLC) • Attain “Senior” level in Specialty • Attend two wing / region conferences SM Timothy J. Bruce

  11. Corporate Learning Course (CLC) Teaches how a wing operates in each of CAPs major mission elements and how mission support functions support the mission elements. SM Timothy J. Bruce

  12. Corporate Learning Course (CLC) • Identify the function of the three mission elements of the wings. • Explain Aerospace Education • Explain the Cadet Programs • Explain the Emergency Services • Explain Mission Support functions • Core Values impact the wing operation SM Timothy J. Bruce

  15. Level 4 (cont’d) • Complete Region Staff College (RSC) • Occupy a command or staff position for 2 years of service to CAP • Serve as a staff member at a national, region, or wing conference, or serve as a staff member at a SLS, CLC, or Unit Commanders Course (UCC) SM Timothy J. Bruce

Region Staff College(RSC) • Deliver a CAP-oriented oral presentation lasting 10 minutes • Demonstrate effective writing skills and use of proper written formats • Perform effective as a group member in the problem solving process • Apply current management theory to human relations situations SM Timothy J.
