Coastal Engineering Fluid & Pollutant Transport in the Environment Geotechnical & Geological Hazards Industrial By-product Treatment & Disposal Remediation of Contaminated Land The EngD covers the following areas of research: impact of waste disposal, recycling of materials, land remediation, water resources and treatment and coastal management, urban environment and ground engineering. • Research infrastructure at UCL includes: • Fluids Laboratory • Environmental Change Facility • Environmental Isotope Facility • Mineral, Ice and Rock Physics Lab • Environmental Engineering Laboratories Sustainable Water Management Scientists as well as engineers can undertake an EngD Current research sponsors include ABPmer, DEFRA, Thames Water, Veolia and Yorkshire Water.
