North Texas Food Hub Incubator Projects Purpose: Create food hub incubator demonstration projects to develop small urban and rural food ventures in order to provide fresh, safe, affordable food to North Texas communities. Urban local food hubs: Ft Worth, Arlington, Dallas Urban local food hub networks: Rural Farming Network Urban Farming Network 30 small (10-30 acre) farms using field, hoops 10 commercial greenhouse produce farms 10 commercial aquaponic farms 10 free range pork farms 5 regional food hub aggregation and processing centers 10 small (1 acre aggregate) farms usingSmall Plot Intensive Farming (SPIN model). 10 commercial greenhouse produce farms 10 commercial aquaponic farms_ 1 food hub aggregation and processing center Urban Food Network 10 large grocery community markets 1 community market center 5 school aquaponic projects (Dunbar Middle School model) 5 community gardens (school, church, non-profit)
