Questioning Genesis 1 • People have questioned creation, especially since the 1859 publication of Darwin’s On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection • Does Darwin have anything right? We’ve all seen some form of Micro-evolution, aka adaptive variation • Where is the evidence for Macro-evolution?

  3. Question #1 • Where did the ingredients that created the first life come from? • Based on evolution and the big bang theory nothing begat something • Some people interpret the Biblical creation account as God creating the big bang • Evolution and the big bang are theories, not proven facts, and there are holes

Why is this Important? • To remind people that evolution is not a fact, it is a theory • If evolution is a theory and not a fact then it takes some faith to believe in it…perhaps more faith than to believe in God creating the universe • Once they realize that it is possible that God exists maybe they realize they need God
