  7. Creating Utopias • Writers say that man should get on with the business of developing a social paradise. Mankind has the potential – mind stretching concepts, ideas of infinite variety, and towering imaginations – to create Utopias. • Many seem to view the present human world with distaste and disappointment.

  8. THE FISH CAN’T SEE THE WATER THEIR SWIMMING IN!

  9. FICTION • Science fiction writing has come a long way since the Android or Robot. An android is a synthetic person – not a clanking machine – made from biological parts, and it can be formed to look like, act like, and pass for a real human being. • A step beyond the android is the man/machine hybrid, or “cyborg,” who is a human that has had certain body parts replace by mechanical (electronic) parts in order to enhance physical abilities or to provide immunity from environmental dangers.

SCIENCE “FIXTION” WRITERS • Fiction or “Fixtion” writers, as I have called them, have proceeded to depict an alien world in space where such flaws are nonexistent. • The need for an extensive critical evaluation of these visions have, quite literally, been cosmic, universal, or mundane. Messiahs have preached and fallen, big brothers have terrorized, transformations have remade humanity.

ONCE UPON A TIME • They all begin, figuratively at least, with the great words that vibrate to the very core of our being, “Once upon a time.” This theme is endless and no words can properly describe the scope of science fiction works. • In the hands of many science fiction writers, then, the frontier of earth can be transformed into an Utopia.

The Millionaires Machines • THE FOLLOWING IS A POEM BY PATRICIA HOLBERT: IN ORDER TO EXPLAIN HER CONCEPT, IF ONE MILLION PEOPLE HAD JUST $1 TO GIVE, THEY COULD PRODUCE A “MILLIONAIRE” OVERNIGHT. • IF ONE MILLION PEOPLE HAD JUST $24 TO GIVE, THEY COULD PRODUCE EITHER 24 MILLIONAIRES OR A MULTI-MILLIONAIRE WITH $24 MILLION DOLLARS.

The Poem • Based on the theory that if a company such as ENTERGY who has over one million customers, they could charge each $1 extra each month on the invoices or bills and each month from one million customers, they could one million dollars to their revenue each month. • This concept could revolutionize poverty locally and in 3rd world countries and create multi-millionaires overnight. This fund source could be used to wipe poverty and hunger as we know it today.

  17. The Poem • Imagine a company like Entergy creating or producing millionaires hourly, daily. • This concept is better than the lottery because it generate millionaires overnight. This idea or concept is better with several company’s uniting do the same thing. • Soon ordinary people can participate in the American dream of becoming a millionaire • One billion people could create billionaires overnight with THE MILLIONAIRES MACHINE.

  18. THE MILLIONAIRES MACHINE DREAMING, I DREAMPT OF A PLACE FAR FAR AWAY…WHERE THE CHILDREN SING BECAUSE THEY ARE HAPPY, SO THEY LAUGH AND PLAY. EVERYONE SEEM SO HAPPY AND LOVING AND FREE. TO MY RELIEF THERE WAS NO SIMON LECRE. SOON, I CAME UPON A PLACE WHERE I COULD SEE BETTER…. SOMETHING TOUCH ME AS LIGHT AS A FEATHER.

  20. THE POEM • IT WAS AN ADULT WHOSE SMILE WAS SO BRIGHT THAT IT LITE UP MY FACE. SURELY THIS MAN WAS NOT A MEMBER OF THE HUMAN RACE. • HE BECONED FOR ME WITH HIS EYES AND HANDS. TO MY SURPRISE I RAN…..STRAIGHT INTO HIS WAITING ARMS SO TAN, THIS THINGS WAS SO STRONG, HE WAS A SUPER MAN.

  22. THE MILLIONAIRES MACHINEFUNNY • I MUST HAVE LOOKED PUZZLED FOR HE ASKED ME MY NAME? I COULD NOT REMEMBER, SO I TOLD HIM JANE. JANE WAS THE NAME OF THE TRAIN CARRYING GRAIN I PASSED ON THE PLANE; BUT IT WAS NOT MY NAME, I TOLD HIM THE SAME. JANE IS MY NAME AND MY CLAIM TO FAME. I PLAY NO GAME, AND I DON’T PLAY IN THE RAIN. WHAT IS THE REASON EVERYONE SEEMS SO HAPPY HERE. CAN IT BE THEY LIVE WITHOUT FEAR..

  23. THE POEM • THE MILLIONARES MACHINE, I HEARD HIM SAY IN MY DREAM…I LOOKED AT HIS FACE, IT WAS VOID OF RACE. NOT WHITE NOT BLACK NOT IN ANY CASE. • ONCE UPON A TIME, I HEARD HIM SAY…THERE WAS ONLY A FEW OF US NOT LIKE WHAT YOU SEE TODAY. HOWEVER, EVEN WITH THE FEW, MANY WERE SO POOR, MANY HAD NOTHING TO EAT SO MANY PICKED IN AND ATE FROM GARBAGE CANS AND LIVED ON THE STREET.

  24. THE MILLIONAIRES MACHINE • THEN ALL OF SUDDEN THERE WERE MILLIONS OF PEOPLE EVERYWHERE, SEEMINGLY OVERNIGHT. LET ME TELL YOU, IT WAS CHAOS AND WAR AND A STRUGGLE TO EAT RIGHT. • THE CONCEPT OF THE MILLIONARES MACHINE WAS THE IDEA OF A WOMAN NAMED PAT HOLBERT. SHE WAS A COMMUNITY ORGANIZER AND LOVED TO EAT STRAWBERRY YOGERT. SHE SAYS IT WAS CHEAP AND TASTY AND CALMED HER NEED FOR MORE FOOD. IT WAS ROUGH GROWING UP SHE SAYS, EVERYONE WAS SO RUDE.

  25. THE MILLIONAIRES MACHINE • UNTIL ONE DAY WHEN SHE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE HIGH COST OF LIVING EVERYDAY. JUST ONE EXTRA DOLLAR MORE ON HER LIGHT BILL…SHE WOULD NOT PAY. • I THOUGHT, WHAT IF THEY CHARGED EVERYONE THAT SAME ERRONOUS DOLLAR AND THAT MONEY CAME TO ME, I WOULD BE A MILLIONAIRE, OH CAN’T YOU SEE.

  26. THE MILLIONAIRES MACHINE • AND THAT IS HOW THE MILLIONAIRES MACHINE WAS BORN. IT TOOK UNITY AND COMMITMENT TO BRING ABOUT THIS NORM. A BETTER WORLD. ONE IN WHICH SUSTAINABILITY IS THE NORM. NOT POVERTY OR STEALING OR CRIME OF ANY FORM. • YOU CAN START THE MILLIONAIRES MACHINE TODAY, I PRAY! AND STAMP OUT THE HUNGRY THE POOR THE LOST, IN A SUSTAINABLE WAY!

  27. THE MILLIONAIRES MACHINE THE MILLIONAIRES MACHINE IS JUST WAITING TO BE DISCOVERED. THE MILLIONAIRES MACHINE MAKES DREAMS COME TRUE. THE MILLIONAIRES MACHINE COULD RAISE FUNDS FOR MEDICAL RESEARCH. BILLIONS OF DOLLARS GOING TO ST. JUDE OR BATSON CHILDRENS HOSPITAL OVERNIGHT. IT COULD MEAN THE IRADICATION OF THE VICIOUS CYCLE OF POVERTY IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD!
