SCHOOL HEALTH PROGRAMME during 2012-13 • Training to all District Level officers have been imparted. • Training of 2(two) teachers from 770 schools each are presently in progress. • Tender process to procure IFA Tablets, Deworming medicine and Vitamin –A for disbursement to school children is in the final stage. • 2723 children from 50 schools have been covered under SHP. • After the completion of the training to school teachers. SHP would be successfully implemented. Note :- Source of information – NRHM, Manipur.

Projected Enrolment • (Primary + EGS) - 2,10,000 • (Upp. Pry)- 50,000 • No. of working days - 225 • Cooking Assistance in Lakh (Pry) - Rs.1323.00Lacs ( Upp. Pry ) - Rs. 471.36 Lacs • Foodgrains (Pry) - 4725.00 MTs. (Upp. Pry) - 1687.50 MTs • Cost of foodgrains - Rs. 362.31Lacs • Cooks Honorarium for 7440 nos - Rs.669.60Lacs. • Transport Assistance - Rs. 151.98 Lacs

  22. ISSUES and CHALLANGES • Introduction of IVRS. • Gas based cooking device. • Capacity building both at District and Lower levels. • Foodgrain Godowns at District Level.

  23. MEASURES AND ACHIEVEMENTS • Releasing of funds from Directorate to SMDCs (School Management & Development Committees) account through Deputy Commissioners by e-transfer is being continued. • Toll free Line is opening shortly. • Direct connection from State to School Level through SMS.

MONITORING INSTITUTE, MANIPUR UNIVERSITY’S REPORT ON MDM SCHEME in Senapati and Tamenglong Districts • Regarding un-availability of foodgrains as pointed out by MI, all Districts are maintaining buffer stock for more than three months since the last two/three years. • Efforts are being made to ensure timely release of funds. • The issue on inadequate/replacement of utensils at school level will be addressed in the next FY 2013-14. 2000 KD units has already been proposed to GOI during video conference.
