Data protection • Parental consent is obtained for use of student photos on the school website. • Parents of children starting school in Year 7 receive a letter asking them to 'opt out' if they do not want their child's photo taken to be used in any school publication either online or in print.
Internal Communication • The school's VLE (Virtual Learning Environment) is called 'Frog'. • It is a school community environment and is accessed by staff and students with the network-administered usernames and passwords.
Purpose of a VLE • Allow teachers to assign homework tasks • Store subject-related resources • Communicate with students via email • Access to school files from home • Organise and display school documents • Use of forums for discussions
