MSc in Electronic Commerce • Initiated in 2000 with aim to produce a new generation of IT professionals with competence in evaluating and developingelectronic commerce systems and services within a business context. • Programme is jointly offered by • Department of Computer Science College of Science and Engineering • Department of Information Systems College of Business • Master’s degree awarded by City University of Hong Kong

  3. MSEC Curriculum Integrated Curriculum • Covers technical, managerial and business aspects • Structured curriculum to equip students with technical, managerial, business, and legal know-how to develop eCommerce systems and services • Focus on applied subjects and also build solid foundations

  4. MSEC Curriculum 27 - 36 credit units • 9 required courses • Up to 9 credit units can be transferred based on previous study • Typically student takes 30 – 33 credits • 2-3 elective courses • Can study full-time or part-time • Duration: 1 – 2 academic years • Typically 3 – 5 Semesters

  13. Financial Aids … • Continuing Education Fund (CEF) All students are legible for applying for CEF for those course modules so qualified. Eligible applicants will be reimbursed 80% of the course fee, subject to a maximum sum of HK$10,000, on successful completion of the course module. • Department Student Scholarship Students with good performance are legible for student scholarships of up to $10,000 each. • Fee Reduction with Credit Unit Transfer Based on previous study and performance, up to 9 credit units can be transferred.
