Arctic Edge Skating Club Detailed Vision • Giant well organized CanSkate Program • Programs are well designed & organized • Skaters want to participate in all programs • We have a fun, productive, fully subscribed summer school • We have group off-ice programs including off-ice jumping & ballet • We have consistent scheduling year to year • We have adequate lessons in all disciplines for all skaters • Younger skaters are exposed to older skaters • Skaters are exposed to high level visiting coaches to increase their skills and motivation • We produce great skaters, and help develop healthy individuals • AESC has a good reputation in the community and outside • We have a grand ice show • Effervescence and positive energy is contagious – the morale is good\ • Kids support each other and skating is fun! Positive Focus Quality Well - Organized Programs AESC offers high quality programs & a welcoming environment that supports recreational & competitive skaters to achieve their potential • We maintain and develop a highly skilled and effective coaching cadre • We develop older skaters to become coaches • Mutual respect makes co-coaching normal and prevalent • We have a paid administrator • We have a well funded club • Skating is affordable for families. • There is funding support for skaters and diverse and generous sources of revenue for the club Highly Respected & Respectful Staff Fiscally Responsible & Well Funded • Executive/Parent relations are strong • Parents are involved & supportive • There is a full slate of committed, capable & accountable executive • Strong communications channels exist among coaches, parents & executive • Decision making is ethical, consistent, and transparent • Culture of the greater good overrides. • The number of skaters at all levels and ages continues to increase • Inclusion of all skaters, Special “O” part of AESC • Representative programs of AESC in all communities with rinks & Yukon Championships involves skaters from communities Strong Executive, Committed Involved Parents Inclusive & Welcoming
