Even if you can’t volunteer during the day there are other ways for you to be involved! If there is something not listed that you would like to do, please let me know. __ Classroom Preparation – This job can be done in the classroom or at home. It can involve cutting large numbers of things, gluing, stapling, hole punching, etc. __ Field Trip Chaperone – Ready for travel and excitement? I can always use extra hands during our class field trip.__ The “Essentials” Helper – Lend a helping hand in making copies and paper work that needs to be done throughout the week. __ Other Needs – If you see a need that I have not mentioned, please contact me! My name is Lindsey Samford and I will be your child’s second grade teacher! I am so excited about all the learning that will happen this year. I graduated from University of Houston Clear Lake in 2008 with a degree in behavioral science. I am certified in early childhood education through sixth grade. My husband currently works for the City of Texas City and we have a four year old son and a daughter born in April 2013. I grew up in Alvin, TX where I attended Junior High and High School. My family and I currently live in the small town of Danbury, TX. My family and I enjoy spending time together outdoors. My husband and son enjoy riding dirt bikes. We love to travel together to one of our favorite places, the Texas Hill Country where we enjoy kayaking, hiking and swimming. I am excited to teach and get to know your child this year.
