  2. INFORMACIÓN • Cuenta actualmente con 40estaciones mareográficas • 17 en el Golfo de México y Mar Caribe. • 23 Pacifico Mexicano. • Variables medidas • Nivel del Mar • Temperatura del agua de mar

La SEMAR no contaba con estaciones mareográficas, por lo que nació la necesidad de instalar una red mareográfica propia, de tecnología reciente y funcional que permitiera obtener datos de mareas, así como también proveer a las unidades de superficie de pronósticos y cartografía confiable. • LA RED INICIO OPERACIONES EN 1999. • 5 Estaciones con Telemetría Satelital. • 25 Estaciones Mareográficas sin Telemetría. • La descarga de datos se realizaba cada dos meses. • 2001 • Se reubico dos estaciones de Puerto Ángel, Oax. A San Felipe, B.C. y de Champotón, Camp. A Mahahual, Q.Roo. • Se instalo una nueva Estación Mareográfica en Isla de Cedros, B.C.

  4. 2002 • Se instalo dos nuevas estaciones mareográficas en Topolobampo, Sin. y en Manzanillo, Col. • 2010 • Se instala cinco nuevas estaciones, Islas Marías, Nay., Pto. Matamoros, Tamps., Isla Socorro, Col., Los Cabos y Puerto Cortes, B.C.S. • 2011 • Se Rehabilito dos estaciones Puerto Ángel, Oax. y de Champotón, Camp.

  6. PRODUCTOS • Impresión de tablas y calendarios gráficos de predicción de mareas por cada litoral. (Enero-Diciembre). • Se distribuye a cada uno de los Mandos Navales de Regiones, Zonas, Sectores y Unidades de Superficie, también se suministra a quien los solicite. Se pone a la venta en DIGAOHM, en los Institutos y Estaciones de investigación Oceanográfica. 6
