Essential Skills Unit 1: Cell Biology • I can explain how macromolecules are built and their roles in the human body. • I can identify the different cell types and their organelle structures and functions. Unit 2: Cells and Energy • I can analyze the importance of enzymes in life processes and explain what would occur in their absence. • I can explain the storage and release of different types of cell energy. Unit 3: Molecular Genetics • I can show how genes are a blueprint for amino acid sequences which determine characteristics. • I can describe the importance of mutations and sexual reproduction leading to genetic variation.

POL Details • Presentation: 7 minutes • Question and Answer: 3 minutes • Power point should include: • Title page with name and essential skill • Slides with PICTURES, and NO WORDS • Include a picture (or screen shot) of the article where you ound your research at the END of the presentation.
