2010-11 FHSAA WINTER SPORTS CALENDAR JV begins Week of Nov 20 MS begins Nov 22, playoffs begin January 10
BCBOA MENTOR PROGRAM • Utilizing Saturday JV Public Games • Mentors officiate 2 games with JV Officials • Mentors stay or arrive for the 3rd Game to evaluate JV Officials • Each JV Official Scheduled will do 2 games of three, and must remain for their block of three • Mentor will be compensated for Evaluation Game • Mentor must fill out game day two-man evaluation form and then submit on-line form to receive compensation by Monday 12M following game day. Takes five minutes… • Most everyone who submitted names in previous two meetings are included.

KEY MEETING 2010-11 DATES November 15 General Mtg – Turkey Drop • Please bring Turkey to November 15 General Meeting • Association will match member donation up to $800 • Israel Hepburn – Pastor Star of Bethlehem Church • Church will canvass multiple communities to assess need • Goal is a minimum of 40-50 Turkeys donated by members

Mission The Recommendations Committee is responsible for reviewing the evaluations of each member official during the regular season. This committee is also responsible for preparing and submitting to the FHSAA Office a list of member officials who deserve consideration for assignment to State Series contests. The assignments officer (booking commissioner) should act on the recommendation of this committee.
Criteria for Selection List of 42 Crews We will use FHSAA muster and BCBOA information to determine members eligible for State Series Playoffs which include Regional and State Playoffs. FHSAA Rank of 1, 2. BCBOA Rankings 100 – 250 can be considered Test scores of 80 or higher. BCAA/BCBOA designated as Primary Official Association. Attendance at State Field Clinic, and training session as required by FHSAA and BCBOA. Is not suspended by FHSAA. A member who misses 2 consecutive unexcused meetings during a season may not be selected for the Playoffs Crews. Consideration of Evaluations.
Criteria for Selection List of 42 Crews2010 - 2011 Written and verbal reports from Evaluations and Experienced Officials. Personal Observations of Officials Scratched Lists Reports of missing games Reports of late arrivals to games Reports of games/Rule Mismanagement
EVALUATIONS • If you are an official that wants to move up in rank, • We have some three man and two man game opportunities coming up that we can get you evaluated. • Your evaluation will then be included in your score to determine your rank. • Please email me, if you are a JV official wanting to move up to Varsity…You will be evaluated on three-man mechanics • Or a JV official wanting a higher level of JV game • October 21st has some opportunities to be evaluated and we will have others…
PROPOSED AMENDMENTS • You should each have an Amendment Sheet. • ONLY put an “X” in the box that applies or leave blank. • Three Pros and Three Cons will be accepted for each topic, unless I believe further discussion is necessary. • If you are a Pro or Con for a point please stand up. • Two Minutes each for your point of view • Then we will mark our papers and move on. • If language is changed, it needs to be approved by person who submitted amendment. • Any questions.
