Goals • Research and analyze the state of UC Berkeley’s LGBTQ graduate student community, giving specific attention to: • Issues of major importance to the community, past and present, resolved and unresolved. • Actions taken by the GA, GenEq, Chancellor’s Advisory Committee for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Community at Cal (CAC-LGBT), student groups, and other persons or campus organizations to resolve such issues. • The efficacy of current campus, college, and department-level programs and resources available for Cal’s LGBTQ graduate students. • A rigorous review and analysis of all existing data on LGBTQ students collected by UC Berkeley and UCOP. • Schedule and interview university administration and key personnel with the institutional knowledge of past LBGTQ initiatives. • Identify best questions for gauging campus-wide opinion(s) about LGBTQ persons & their allies at UC Berkeley.

Recommendations Collect data- Campus Climate Survey or something more specific Establish communication between LGBTQ graduate student organizations or resources Formalize relationship with Queer Alliance and Resource Center (QARC) Support CAC-LGBT efforts on LGBTQ course information data collection Support annual out faculty panel Organize townhall
