Key Drivers for the Statewide Reporting Platform • Web-based access to all reports • Include new accountability measures, with grade by grade testing • Explain test results to a variety of users, including parents and the general public • Provide flexibility in how data is retrieved • Maintain privacy of student data • Commitment to the “Responsible use of data”
Prototype Disclaimers • The following reports may have a “finished” look. However, • We are 2 weeks into a 5 year contract. • They are taken from early prototyping efforts. They are certain to change somewhat. • Reviews with NYSED staff are just now beginning. • The Report Advisory Committee, with representatives from a diverse group of educational organizations and institutions within NY State, will review all report prototypes prior to release. The first meeting is scheduled for December 2005.
