  5. How the idea came about? Definethe problem Birds keep entering residents apartment Discoverresearch on the problem - birds were seen entering residents apartments and leave waste materials behind , causing inconvenience to the residents Develop Dec-o-way ! Demonstrate Need help here ..

  6. How it work?

  7. Creating the product We drew floral designs with paint markers and pasted some decorative stickers on the plastic wrap. We also used shape punchers to make holes on the plastic wrap.

  8. Who is it for? This product is targeted on housewives. At times when food are left in the open, birds may be attracted and fly in. They may leave droppings as well which are not easy to clean. Since they have a lot of house chores to do, this problem will add on to their house work.

  9. Why is it useful? Transparent - housewives often have to keep a lookout for the weather. If not, they might have to wash the clothes again if it rains before the clothes are kept in. Air ventilation -Using the air-condition is costly and not environmental friendly, hence it’s best to have a fan and wind from outside. Prevent birds! – This product will block the birds’ entrance while it supports air ventilation at the same time.

  15. Problems faced Problem one : We were unable to attach the Velcro flaps to the curtain (so that it can be put up on a curtain pole) with the roller.. Problem two : Busy schedule .. ?

  16. Reflection It has been a long way from initially identifying the problem and finally making the product to solve the problem. There were quite a number of difficulties in developing the product, but we got it in the end. I am very glad that we managed to make the product despite the difficulties involved. Being in this group has been a learning experience for me and it has been very fun working with my group members as well. I am very happy that i was put in this group. Edna

  17. Reflection I feel that I learnt a lot from this project as i got to work with people I don’t know very well. From this experience , I got to know my group member's working style . I think that there are areas that I can improve on , such as participating more in the discussion . I also feel that all of my group members are very punctual and on task . This is very good as it can help us get the task done a lot easier . Most importantly , final product , Dec-O-way , is useful . This would mean that all our hard work would not have been wasted . All in all , I enjoy working with my group very much. JiaHeng

  18. Reflection Through the innovative project work, I learnt the importance of teamwork. Only with teamwork, a task will then be done. I learnt to be organised at the same time as there were lots of homework assigned and I had to organise my schedule properly so that I can complete the assignment before the deadline. It’s a fun experience throughout the whole nine months , from the time we define the problem until we create a product of our own. I had an enjoyable time working with the other members in the group and I hope there will be more projects like this in the future. Haowen
