Mr. Case’s Newsletter/Room 202 March 24th – March 28th wcase2@everettsd.org/ classroom #: 425.385.5652 Our Specialist Schedule: Monday - Music Tues. – Library Wed. – Computers Thurs. – Music Fri. – P.E. What We’re Learning: Reading: We will focus on our read aloud book, The Magician’s Elephant by Kate DiCamillo. We’ll be discussing the characters and setting of our story. Math: 1st – We will take our topic #10 assessment and then finish topic #11 “Subtracting with Tens and Ones”. 2nd – We will be starting topic #11 “3-digit addition and subtraction”. Writing: The kids are excited about publishing their work so we are going to start writing a paragraph based on The Important Book by Margaret Wise Brown. Special Announcements: Mar. 24th – 28th: Parent-Teacher Conferences and early release all week! Students will be released at 12:55 every day. Friday, Mar. 28th: Spirit/Popcorn Day: Sports Team shirt. March 31st – April 4th: Spring Break! I hope all of our families will be able to enjoy some extra time with each other. Monday, April 7th: Back to school, rested and ready for the last 50 days of our school year! Friday, April 11th: Jackson’s Basket Raffle Night. Come join the fun of Jackson’s annual event and help raise money for the PTA! Phrase of the Month: CRITICAL THINKING
