DISCIPLINE MATTERS • Reporting Time and Latecoming • Attire • Attendance • Restricted Items
REPORTING TIME & LATECOMING • Morning Flag Raising Ceremony: 0815h • First bell for assembly: 0810h • School gates close: 0815h. Students outside of gates are LATE. • Latecomers gather by level to scan thumbprint at TPSS foyer, and sing National Anthem before going for lessons. • Detention for latecomers from 3rd time onwards. • All latecoming from 4th time onwards to be logged into the system. No re-countfor the whole year. • latecomers after 0830h: security guards take down names and sent to General Office for latecoming stamp on hand. NO entry to class is allowed without the stamp. • Persistent latecomers to report to P/VP/DM for questioning. • Parents will be asked to come to school.
ATTIRE • NOTE: • No student should be in PE attire 1 hour after PE. • If the class has PE AND SPARKS/PE on the same day, the class is allowed to stay in PE attire the whole day. • The class is only allowed to change to PE attire for afternoon PE immediately before the lesson. • Students not dressed in the correct bearing for the day will be made to go home to change. Parents will be informed.
ATTENDANCE • Attendance is compulsory for all school days. • Absence from school • Parents/guardians must call the General Office to inform of the reason for absence. • MC must be submittedto FT upon return to school • Students who do not have MCs will be considered as playing truant. However, the school will accept letters from parents/guardians for non-medical emergencies /urgent family matters. Only 1 letter per term will be accepted. • Students who persistently absent themselves may be barred from taking exams
RESTRICTED ITEMS • The following items are strictly not allowed in school: • Combs with sharp ends and other potential weapons • Cosmetics • Cigarettes and lighters • All items will be confiscated and disciplinary action will be taken. • If students choose to bring mobile phones, PDAs, MP3s or other expensive items to school, the items must not be used in class or during school activities. Students are totally responsible for the safekeeping of such items. • Such items will be confiscated if found using in class.
