Beginning of War • Odysseus and Telémakhos reunite and return. • They plan a war against the suitors. • The war begins with the murder of Antínoös.
The Importance of Antinoos • He was the “Ring Leader” • He would whip people into shape(work) • He cared less for a marriage than the power of Kronion • Would’ve trapped Odysseus’ son
Getting Equipped • Once Odysseus is equipped, everyone is scared • Eurymakhos is the new leader who makes inspirational speeches to others • He was soon-after killed • Odysseus orders his son to get more arrows
The Open Door • Telemakhos left the door open to the storeroom when getting weapons • Melanthios entered the storeroom • The swineherd informs Odysseus • Odysseus orders two men to punish Melanthios
The Deaths • Athena helps Odysseus by making the suitors arrow shots go off target • Athena makes a sign of a shield, making the suitors fearful • All of the maids were hung by Telemakhos
