Discussion • What are some of the differenes between the executive branches at the federal, state and local levels? • Who performs the task of enforcing laws in your town or city? • Why are some laws more complicated to enforce than others?
Agree/Disagree Activity • The police are the public and the public are the police • Police can fight crime more effectively if they spend less time on community and social work and more time responding to crime • Police can do their jobs more effectively if they spend time getting to know people in the community and responding to social needs.
