4. 句型(2)：作為主詞。 • 疑問詞wh-＋主詞＋動詞…＋動詞… • 例: What he said is true. • (三) whether /if 引導的名詞子句 • 句型(1)：作為受詞。 • 主詞＋動詞＋(受詞)＋whether/if＋主詞＋動詞…(or not) • 例: I know whether you are right (or not). • 句型(2)：作為主詞。 • Whether＋主詞＋動詞…(or not)＋動詞… • 例: Whether he will come or not isn’t important.

5. whether/if引導的名詞子句 • 直接問句改為間接問句，形成名詞子句。 • (1)疑問詞wh-引導的名詞子句 • (2)whether /if 引導的名詞子句 • 句型(1) • whether /if ＋主詞＋Be動詞…(or not) • 例:Are you OK? • Please tell me whether/if you are OK (or not). • 例: Is Sam tired ? • Do you know whether/if Sam is tired (or not)?

6. whether /if ＋主詞＋一般動詞…(or not) • 句型(2) • 例:Do you really want to get into a senior high school? • You should ask yourself whether /if you really want to get into a senior high school (or not) . • 例:Did she run a red light? • I asked her whether/if she ran a red light (or not).

7. 句型(3) • whether /if ＋主詞＋will/情態助動詞＋原形動詞…(or not) • 例:Will he come here tomorrow? • I want to know whether /if he will come here tomorrow (or not). • 例:Should I bring a bag tomorrow? • Can you tell me whether/if I should bring a bag tomorrow (or not)?

8. 句型(4) • whether /if ＋主詞＋have/has＋過去分詞…(or not) • 例:Has she heard the news? • Do you know whether/if she has heard the news (or not)? • 例:Have you been to Japan? • I want to know whether /if you have been to Japan (or not).

9. too …to原形動詞太…而不能… • 句型1：主詞＋be動詞＋too＋形容詞＋to原形動詞… • 例:I am too young to drive a car. • 例:The boy is too short to reach the doorbell. • 注意!! • 在句中to原形動詞 之前加入 for ＋人表明是「對某人而言」。 • 句型：主詞＋be動詞＋too＋形容詞＋ for ＋人＋to原形動詞… • 例:The water is too hot for me to drink. • 例:The shirt is too small for him to wear.

10. 句型2：主詞＋動作性動詞＋too＋副詞＋to原形動詞…句型2：主詞＋動作性動詞＋too＋副詞＋to原形動詞… • 例:He ran too slowly to catch the first bus. • 注意!! • 在句中to原形動詞 之前加入 for ＋人表明是「對某人而言」。 • 句型2：主詞＋動作性動詞＋too＋副詞＋ for ＋人＋ to原形動詞… • 例:The foreigner spoke too fast for me to understand him. • 注意!! too…to…的形式是肯定的， • 在附加問句時，要使用否定形式。

12. 注意!!so …that …的句型有時可與too…to…的句型互換。 • 例:I am too young to drive a car. • I am so young that I can’t drive a car. • 例:The boy is too short to reach the doorbell. • The boy is so short that he can’t reach the doorbell. • 例:The water is too hot for me to drink. • The water is so hot that I can’t drink it. • 例:He ran too slowly to catch the first bus. • He ran so slowly that he couldn’t catch the first bus.
